Profile, Event, and Group/Team pages are all able to be fully customized using a variety of tools. To get started, from your admin bar on the bottom of the page click on Settings and then Profile Design which will bring up the following page.

Choose a Starting Design: Start by selecting a default theme design. These are robust designs that cover all aspects of your site.
The remaining sections of this page are ways to further customize and override particular parts of your default theme.

Customize the Background: Choose a different color or use an existing URL to add your own image. Attachment, Position, and Repeat all affect how the background image is displayed.

Design your Menu: Choose different colors for default, hover, and selected tabs.

Choose Text Colors: Choose different colors for default and secondary text as well as link and link hover colors.

Choose a Style for the Buttons: These are like the Submit button on this page, which is large size.
Below the Profile Designer box on this page is the CSS box. This should only be used by advanced users that are familiar with CSS. This CSS will load after the default and theme CSS and can be used to customize just about anything on the page.

Clicking on Save CSS regardless of if you have custom CSS code or not will take you back to your homepage where you can see the changes you've made.

Now lets take a look at your Homepage Layout by going back to your Setting section of your admin panel and clicking on Homepage Layout that will bring up the page shown below.

In the first section of this page you can choose which of the default tabs you wish to show on your site. If you don't want a menu tab to show, simply uncheck the box next to its name.

The next section is where you can chose between a 1, 2, or 3 column layout for your site or chose from a list of presets that we have come up with.

After choosing how many columns you want, it's time to arrange your homepage. Simply click and drag the blocks to the column you want and arrange their order. You can also click and drag the divider of the columns to change the width of each column. Below your columns are the blocks that are not currently showing on your homepage. To remove a block from your homepage, click the red X in the block or click and drag it to the area below the columns.

To change the name of or the content of Custom Blocks, see the Help Section on Custom Blocks here.

Click Save Changes to lock in your layout and return to your homepage.
